Difficult Issues
These are stories tackling tricky subjects in a creative, child friendly way.
The very first story Little Light published was a precious gift to a dear, late, friend and her daughters. It told the story of the Lady, her journey with the Thing (cancer) and how she supported others, embraced it, but – yes - you guessed it, she dies.
The book gently explores the concept of love as strings, as a tangible way for little children to visualise the ties that bind them to loved ones near and far. Written as a eulogy, this is the beacon that started Little Light Publishing.

From Grandking’s Castle, a story about the King’s father moving into a special castle when he suddenly forgets things and creates havoc in the palace – to classic nursery rhyme characters (with a twist!) lead the reader to the Gifting Tree, also known as a Baby Bank, for help. Along the way the reader meets sling-fitting billy goats, to the silver crossroads where parents can learn to feel “less snappy” and songbirds might give you financial advice.
